Click on a parish to access a link to the flood and base maps for that parish. For parishes shaded in gray, digital flood maps have not been brought into either the LSU AgCenter or LaMP web site. Effective FIRM maps can be found for all parishes at the FEMA Map Service Center (MSC) web site. The MSC Web site is the official source of FIRMettes that can be used for flood insurance and floodplain management purposes.

Flood-risk information for parishes is displayed in a base-map system created by the LSU AgCenter. This system is unique in that it integrates flood risk information with ground elevation (provided by a service of the US Geological Survey) and basic wind speed (derived from the International Building Code and produced as a service by the LSU AgCenter). Basic Wind Speed Interactive Map. Flood-risk information for coastal parishes is currently housed on FEMA's Louisiana Mapping Project (LaMP) web site. Links are provided to the LaMP site for each of the affected parishes.
For information about how flood maps and the data they provide are used to reduce flood damage - voluntarily or through regulation, visit Flood Maps and Permits.
Visit Rolling out new FIRMs for a description of the two mapping and outreach programs in Louisiana developed to facilitate the transition to new digital flood insurance rate maps (DFIRMs).
