Recovery & Assistance

When your home, business or neighborhood experiences a disaster, you can do several things to minimize the damages, protect your health and well-being, and restore your property and protect it from future damage.

Safety at the Disaster Site:
If you are in a flood-recovery area, you should read Safety at the Disaster Site first, because a flooded area is a dangerous place.

Having trouble recovering from the trauma and dealing with the stress? Read
Finding a Counselor to find out how to get professional help.

To apply for federal assistance, call the FEMA Teleregistration Hotline
at 1-800-621-3362 or visit a Disaster Recovery Center.

Report Flood Insurance and Disaster Assistance Fraud
on the FEMA Fraud Hotline: 1-800-323-8603
