How can I tell if I have Formosan termites in my house?

Formosan termites primarily enter a house by constructing shelter tubes from their subterranean nests into your house. To prevent this, a chemical barrier is usually applied to all possible entry points. The termites then have to cross a poison barrier to enter the structure.

Unfortunately, a number of factors can prevent a perfect treatment. The treatment methods used depend on the type of construction involved. Here, we describe the treatment procedures necessary for treating monolithic slab construction homes and buildings. We have also listed several areas that are common sources of Formosan termite infestation in slab construction.

What type of house do you have?
