Louisiana Timber Report

The Louisiana Timber Report is provided on a quarterly basis to give forest landowners in Louisiana an indication of average stumpage prices for the most common wood products sold. These include pine pulpwood, pine chip-n-saw, pine sawtimber, hardwood pulpwood and hardwood sawtimber.

These prices are averages in the regions indicated. The actual value of any stand of timber depends not only on current market conditions but also distance from the mill, weather conditions for logging the tract, and timber quality.

Please also visit LDAF (Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry) for Quarterly Price Reports.

The value of hardwood sawtimber varies greatly depending on timber quality or grade and species.
