Directions to field location: Located at Angelina Plantation in Monterey, La. – just west of the north/south road. Contact Glen Daniels if you would like to visit the field site.

Trebon 3G-treated field is located at the Red River farm site. Each field is approximately 9 acres, with the exception of the Trebon 3G field, which is 25 acres.

Field description: drill plant into rice stubble. Each field is approximately 9 acres, with the exception of the Trebon 3G field, which is 25 acres.

*Trebon 3G field was compared to a Dermacor treated check. Dermacor population was 0.4 RWW larvae/core – the Trebon field had 6.75 times more larvae per core.

Method of data collection:

  • Core samples were gathered by walking through the field from one corner to the opposite corner in an S-shaped pattern and pulling cores at equally spaced intervals across the field.
  • RWW core data is an average of 7-10 cores/field.
