Production of Sweet Sorghum in Louisiana as a Biofuel Feedstock Crop

Description:
Sweet sorghum is a summer annual crop which has potential for use as a biofuel feedstock. Sucrose in the juice extracted from sweet sorghum can be converted into ethanol using currently available, conventional fermentation technology. This report provides sweet sorghum production guidelines as well as 2009 research results from nitrogen fertilization trials.
