Corn farmers must watch for insects

Description:
(Radio News 06/30/08) Louisiana’s corn crop has been planted and is in the growing phase. Last year the state saw a record corn crop, with acreage surpassing 700,000. Although acreage will drop this year, it sill will be higher than normal, and growers should be on the lookout for insects, according to LSU AgCenter interim corn specialist Rob Ferguson.
