  Hundreds of young people from across Louisiana were named state champions during the 72nd Annual LSU AgCenter 4-H and FFA Livestock Show Feb. 10-17 at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales. The competitors qualified for the state show by first participating in parish and district livestock shows across Louisiana. At the state show, 3,130 young people competed with 5,708 animals, according to reports from the LSU AgCenter Livestock Show office.

Those young people were similar to hundreds more across the state who participated in district livestock shows and a variety of educational activities as they prepared for the state championship competition beginning Saturday and running through the week (Feb. 10-17) at the 72nd annual LSU AgCenter Livestock Show in Gonzales.
