Areas of Specialization/Research My research project (Hatch LAB93535) is concerned with the etiology, biology and management of diseases of ornamental plants and turfgrasses. Specific projects include evaluation of ornamental plant cultivars for disease resistance/susceptibility, conducting surveys for the appearance of new or developing disease problems, new virus diseases of ornamentals, virus disease problems of centipedegrass and St. Augustinegrass, control of camellia flower blight, production and germination of sclerotia of Ciborinia camelliae (camellia flower blight pathogen) in culture and alternatives to fungicides for disease control on ornamental plants. |
