  • 36 years of research and extension experience in state and federal organizations in the genetic improvement of sugarcane, selection of improved sugarcane cultivars, cane and juice quality, and served as Research Leader for the USDA-ARS, Sugarcane Research Unit, Southern Regional Research Center in Houma, LA, for 11 years prior to accepting his current position as Sugarcane Specialist/Professor with the Louisiana State University Agricultural Center, Research and Extension
  • An international authority on sugarcane breeding and sugarcane quality, and is recognized for his work on plant growth regulators as chemical ripeners.
