Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station

Rice harvest
As part of the LSU Agricultural Center, the Louisiana Agricultural Experiment Station's mission is to enhance the quality of life for Louisiana's citizens through basic and applied research. This research helps make the best use of natural resources while protecting the environment. It permits continued development of agriculture and develops human and community resources while fulfilling the mandates of state and federal legislative bodies.

The Agricultural Experiment Station's comprehensive research program is conducted in 20 academic departments on the Ag Center campus in Baton Rouge, La., and 19 off-campus research stations throughout the state. Click here to download a brochure covering the work going on at our research stations.
