The 2013 LSU AgCenter and SU Agricultural Center Annual Conference has a new partner this year, the LSU College of Agriculture. There have been changes in administration, focus on programs and a new direction for Agriculture in Louisiana. Now, it is time to get back together and share our many accomplishments. The conference committee has put together an event that will provide opportunities for faculty and professional staffs to exchange ideas, meet newcomers, honor colleagues, identify program priorities, create partnerships and enhance working relationships.

Highlights of this year’s conference include:


·         Wellness Works, hosted by the LSU AgCenter Wellness committee, will be held in Room 105 Tureaud Hall on Monday, December 16 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Stop by to take advantage of FREE health related screenings and consultative services, tips on  healthier living through responsible eating, relaxation and strength exercises, and to learn about  wellness information, benefits and resources for all AgCenter employees. You also may just win a doorprize!
 
·         Has it been a while since you updated your Professional Photo? If so, be sure to stop by the LSU AgCenter Communications Photo Studio in Knapp Hall Room 128G on Monday, December 16 between 11:30 and 1:30  to get a new photo. 

·         The opening General Session and Recognition Program Monday afternoon in the LSU Union Theater, where you will hear from the administration about the new focus on program areas, and we will recognize colleagues for exemplary performance.

·         Annual Conference Reception featuring food, drink and fellowship in the 4-H Mini-Farm Building immediately following the close of the General Session. Vendors from the LSU AgCenter food incubator will be at the reception featuring Louisiana products to taste and purchase for holiday gifts. The reception will also feature a visual presentation highlighting statewide programs and the centennial of extension.

·         The Rise and Shine early morning breakfast Tuesday featuring the Louisiana Egg Commission’s famous omelets and crepes. It will be held in the 4-H Mini-Farm.

·         Breakout sessions focusing on key program initiatives.

·         Closing Session for everyone at the LSU AgCenter, Southern University Ag Center and College of Ag. You will hear from LSU President Alexander, East Baton Rouge Mayor-President Kip Holden and Vice President/Dean Richardson talk about new directions for LSU and Agriculture as well as creating Community partnerships.
