(This is a non-tenure track grant-funded position. Continuation will be dependent on funding, job performance, and continued need for the appointment.)
WORK LOCATION: Rice Research Station, Crowley, Louisiana.
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Responsibility of working under the direction of a project leader doing research on rice disease control. The duties will include field research, as well as some laboratory and greenhouse work. The position will involve data collection, record keeping, and the use of materials and research equipment. The position will also include responsibility for supervision of certain personnel.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor’s degree required, preferably in plant sciences, agronomy, plant disease management, plant pest management, horticulture, or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Computer skills, crops research and/or farming experience desirable.
