Every year during 4-H University, some students choose not to compete but rather to attend educational sessions called Clover College. This year there were ten Clover College sessions. Students who wanted to learn about the behind-the-scenes working of LSU athletics participated in "The World of Sports" Clover College. Students had the opportunity to learn more about traveling to LSU sporting events, academics for athletes, and the technology for sports. Students even had the opportunity to meet college athletes during their session.

As a result of participating in this Clover College, students indicated the following:

95% are more aware of the wide range of opportunities involved in sports.
95% are more aware of the facilities and monies it takes to run an athletics program.
97% are more aware of the wide variety of careers in sports.

When students were asked to indicate their general impressions of the Clover College session, this is how they responded:

"I thought it was very fun since I'm a big fan of LSU football and I would definitely do this again.”
“I think this was a great activity because I learned a lot about sports that I like.”

Results indicate that this year’s "World of Sports" Clover College was a huge success!
