Every year during 4-H University, some 4-H’ers choose not to compete but rather attend educational sessions called Clover College. This year there were 10 Clover College sessions. The 4-H’ers in the "Lights, Camera, Action! -- Speak Out for Military Kids" track learned about video production and editing, found out more about military life and culture, and learned about the challenge military kids face every day. Ultimately, students had fun creating a public service announcement about military kids.

As a result of participating in this Clover College, 4-H’ers indicated the following on the evaluation:

94% Are more motivated to expand my role in 4-H.
88% Feel more comfortable speaking out for military kids.
88% Increased their communication skills.

When 4-H’ers were asked how they plan to use the knowledge gained from the track, they said the following:

“I will tell my friends and family.”
“I will help make hero packs.”
