The 4-H'ers make friends in this Clover College.

The 4-H'ers learn to use their money wisely in the simulation of LYFE.

Every year during 4-H University, some students choose not to compete but rather attend educational sessions called Clover College. This year there were 10 Clover College sessions. The 4-H’ers in the LYFE: Living Your Financial Experience Clover College learned the value of money management through a computer-based, simulated, hands-on financial activity that included designing a financial plan, managing income and credit, saving to achieve financial goals and protecting assets.

As a result of participating in this Clover College, students indicated the following on the evaluation:
94% am more aware of the difference in spending on needs vs. wants.
94% understand the importance of saving.
93% gained information that will help me find and prepare for a job.

When students were asked how they plan to use the knowledge gained from the track, they said the following:

“I plan on teaching kids and teens how to manage money based on the info I was given.”
“I plan on using this information to help me with saving and budgeting.”

The 4-H’ers in the LYFE: Living Your Financial Experience are now ready to boldly face the future with their newly acquired financial planning skills!
