Vice President

Hailey Johnson

In the 6th grade, I was introduced to 4-H, a club that has made an impact on my life. My name is Hailey Johnson and I am a 4-Her, leader, and believer. I believe that I would make a wonderful State Officer or Regional Representative, and that I can help make 4-H the very best it can be. Over the past five years I have been 4-H reporter and secretary of my school and Secretary of the Acadia Parish Jr. Leadership club for two years, which I look forward to being the elected president of next year. This past year I fulfilled my duties as the State 4-H Parliamentarian. I have attend many 4-H camps and workshops including 4-H Camp, LOST Camp, Jr. Leadership Conference, the Southwestern Louisiana Leadership Conference, Southwest Regional Leadership Training, and many more. With great honor, I even attended the Southern Region Teen Leadership Conference in Tennessee where I met officers and 4-H members from the southern states. I also helped organize and executed the 2011 Jr. Leadership Conference. I believe that these 4-H experiences have given me the leadership skills to be a State 4-H Officer or Regional Representative and truly make the best better.

Katelyn Dane Chargois

My name is Katelyn Dane Chargois. I am 15 years old in the 11th grade and a member of the Calcasieu Home School 4-H Senior Club. I have been in 4-H and held a club office for seven years. Next year I will be Reporter for the Senior Club and Secretary for Calcasieu Jr. Leaders. I attended 4-H Summer Camp 3 years, Challenge Camp, and I am a trained 4-H counselor. As counselor, I have served during Summer Camp, Challenge Camp, Food and Fitness Camp, and L.O.S.T. Camp. As a Jr. Leader I have volunteered for Elementary Workshop Day, Ag Adventures, LSU Ag Magic and attended 4-H University for 2 years. I have served on Food and Fitness Board, attended meetings, and assisted in the planning of Food and Fitness Camp. As 2010-2011 State 4-H Historian/Reporter, I was responsible for making the state newsletter, ‘Rovin’ Clover’. Working as a state board member I participated in all activities including: meetings, JLC—where I lead the service Learning Track—and events: Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, 4-H Day at the Capitol, and LSU/4-H Tailgate Party. My leadership skills and vast experience qualify me for a position on Louisiana 4-H Executive Board.
