The Youth Wetlands Education and Outreach Program is a statewide LSU AgCenter 4-H program sponsored by the Office of Coastal Protection and Restoration. The program is designed to heighten students’ awareness of Louisiana’s wetland loss through an organized educational program of outreach, empowerment and advocacy.

4-H Fashion Camp is a great opportunity for girls and boys to experience two days of learning and fun. While there, campers have fun participating in workshops that teach basic sewing techniques. Each year campers learn basic sewing techniques creating different projects and much more. Fashion Camp is also a great way to meet and interact with peers while learning challenging new sewing skills. Fashion Camp is a great way to have fun.

4-H U Fashion Revue Fashion Show
A crowded catwalk on LSU’s campus is coming this June. 4-H U Fashion Revue will stage the largest fashion show ever, with more than 100 4-H models strutting and sporting their most favorite clothes of the season.The June 24 event is set for the Cox Communications Building on the LSU Campus, with 1,100 fortunate guests catching a first glimpse of this year’s fashions selected by judges from across Louisiana.

This Web site is designed primarily for science fair projects, but these activities also make great projects for 4-H science displays or science learning activities that relate to 4-H projects. Projects are by grade-levels so they’re age-appropriate. There are discussions about topics like scientific method, doing research and constructing a hypothesis. Youth Wetlands Week April 18-22: Louisiana youth learn to save America’s treasure
To educate young people on the importance of all Louisiana wetlands, the LSU AgCenter’s Youth Wetlands Program offers a wetlands-based curriculum for grades four through 12. Each year, the program coordinates a Youth Wetlands Week. This year it will be held April 18-22.

Youth Wetlands Week 2010 Curriculum
Curriculum for Youth Wetlands Week 20100 encompasses hands-on, environmentally based lessons with a wetland focus. Program materials, including structured lesson plans, materials used to teach lessons and step-by-step procedures to activities, are provided at no cost to participating educators.
