Join kids from across Louisiana for fun in the great outdoors. Each year, Operation: Military Kids organizes camping opportunities for the families of our military service members.
The LSU AgCenter Youth Development Office, collaborating with partner organizations such as the National Guard and Reserves, American Red Cross, Boys and Girls Club and others, offers themed camps around Louisiana.
Camps have included a dairy-themed day camp at LSU AgCenter's Dairy Science Research Farm! Military children and their families were able to get up close and personal with dairy cows, sheep, pigs and much more! They were also able to tour the farm via hayride! After lots of fun on the farm, the day was concluded with a cheese-making demonstration by LSU's Dairy Store. Here, you can find a few pictures from the Udderly Awesome Dairy Camp!
