JANUARY
KICKOFF ACTIVITY
Kick off 100 hours of service – conducted by 4-H clubs parishwide, throughout the year
Parish Livestock Show – have a banner made, signed by 4-H youth and displayed
FEBRUARY
Job Interview Contest – celebrate Centennial by highlighting top 100 career professions and invite different career professionals to be guest speakers
MARCH
Junior Leader 4-H Fun Day – Centennial Birthday Party held in conjunction with Junior Leader meeting
APRIL
Achievement Day – set up Centennial display, Centennial song and yell contest, recognize Hall of Fame nominees
MAY
Leader Banquet – decorate according to Centennial, Centennial pins given to volunteers, recognize Hall of Fame nominees
JUNE
Parish Horse Show – have a banner made, signed by 4-H youth and displayed
JULY
4-H Camp – decorate cabins in birthday theme and give “b'day” grab bags to campers
AUGUST
School Board Meeting and principal/leader visits – give out Centennial promotional information
SEPTEMBER
At open enrollment club meetings give “Join 4-H” stickers out to all youth in attendance
OCTOBER
National 4-H Week – parishwide 4-H Clubs promote Centennial recognition during 4-H week activities at their schools
Fall Activity Day – conduct Centennial poster contest
NOVEMBER
Junior Leaders – conduct food drive for local food bank with goal of collecting 100 or more items
DECEMBER
Recognize clubs which conducted 100 hours of service throughout the year |
