The New Orleans Hornets basketball team has offered 4-H the opportunity to participate in the Annual 4-H Night With The Hornets every year since 2003. The Hornets provide an opportunity for over 300 4-H members to participate in on-court programs. Some of those opportunities include being an honorary captain, being a ball boy/girl, singing the National Anthem, having a photo taken with a Hornets player or Honeybee dancer, or participating in several functions on the Hornets basketball court.

Prior to the game outside the New Orleans Arena and next to the Superdome is the Buzz Fest, which begins at 5 p.m. with entertainment, free face painting, games and some free gifts.

The 2013 game will be January 25, 2013. Tickets are $21 each. The Hornets will return $5 of each ticket to the Louisiana 4-H program. A portion of these proceeds are placed in an endowment fund that helps sponsor educational trips for 4-H members. Tickets ordered first will get the best available seating.
