The Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center, located in Pollock, La., has been a part of the Louisiana 4-H life-skill building experience since the 1920s. It has touched the lives of thousands of youth in our state. Each year, approximately 12,000 youth attend 4-H Camp for a variety of educational activities, ranging from environmental education to gardening and nutrition. 4-H Camp also provides an environment where children can engage their minds through hands-on learning. This type of experience, we find, helps them succeed when they return to their hometowns and ultimately leads to students having a better chance to complete high school and contribute positively to their community.

The benefits of the 4-H Camp experience to a young student are life-changing and ultimately lead to a better Louisiana. 4-H Camp has a rich history of helping young people develop their full potential. Today, the Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center continues to build a legacy of developing caring, community-minded citizens who offer vibrant, strong leadership for the future. With an established scholarship program for resource-challenged students, all 64 parishes in Louisiana can send 4-H youth to the Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center regardless of their ability to pay.

With 87 years of success, the Grant Walker 4-H Educational Center is poised to broaden its scope of youth impact in Louisiana. We have a vision of making much-needed improvements at 4-H Camp that will lead to an enhanced educational experience. However, we need your help. The kids now attending camp have no multipurpose gathering facility to assemble in. On many occasions, campers must wait the rain outside the cafeteria to line up for meals. Additionally, there is no facility for educational gatherings large enough for all campers attending any one camping session. The construction of a multipurpose assembly building that can accommodate all campers is crucial and a top priority. We need your help to make this a reality because the use of private donations will be the only way this project will come to fruition. This new building will impact thousands of Louisiana youth.

All donors to this project will be included on a wall of recognition in the new Multipurpose Building.  To make a secure, online tax-deductible donation, CLICK HERE. For more information on the project, CLICK HERE.
