National 4-H Council Updates
What’s going on in other 4-H Foundations across the country? What trends National 4-H Council is seeing? How does Louisiana fit in with current trends?
Mission Focused Fundraising
Effective fundraising is key to the longevity and sustainability of you 4-H program. Mission focused fundraising will strengthen your capacity to raise money from corporate, foundation, and individual donors. You will learn about current trends in giving, motivating donors to give, and how to create a balanced portfolio of fundraising opportunities to support your mission and program needs.
Building a World Class Fundraising Board
Your board of directors can be a powerful source of support for your program – but only if you engage them effectively! This workshop blends board development, volunteer management and fundraising techniques, enabling you to come away ready to work with your current board in new ways to achieve success.
Participants will:
- Better understand the roles and responsibilities of non-profit 4-H boards at the local, state and national levels
- Strengthen their understanding of common board member personality types and the motivators of each
- Develop strategies to improve board member retention and engagement, especially around fundraising
- Learn how to use key indicators to assess their board’s performance and satisfaction
Effective Fundraising Ideas: How we did it!
Join a panel of your peers as they share the secrets of their effective fundraising ideas—what works for them and what doesn’t. You are sure to leave with some new ideas for use in your parish.
A Chat with the CPA
What does it mean to be in compliance with LSU Systems financial guideline policies? What is the proper way to receipt funds that are collected in our parish? What information does the IRS need from us and why? Find out the answers to these questions from the CPA that performs the 4-H Foundation's annual audit. Come with questions of your own as it relates to managing funds in your parish.
