Progressive Agriculture™ Safety Day Camp is a one-day camp designed for 5th graders to become more aware of safety as they work and play. The topics of demonstration may include:
- firearm safety
- flowable entrapment
- GPS technology
- first aid
- lawn equipment safety
- gas safety
- fire/storm safety
- healthy lifestyles
East Carroll Parish's third safety day camp was held at the Louisiana State Cotton Museum in Lake Providence, Louisiana on Wednesday, April 23, 2008. 251 participants including 4-H members, volunteers, leaders, session instructors, etc. received information on the topics listed above. Much appreciation is extended to all involved, especially to the Cotton Museum for the use of their facilities.
