5/27/2013 - 5/29/2013 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
LSU AgCenter Baton Rouge Campus and Distance Education Sites, 102 Knapp Hall, Baton Rouge, LA
In today's workplace, non-engineers are increasingly expected to work with chemical engineers on projects, scale-ups and process evaluations. But to do so, they need a solid understanding of basic concepts of chemical engineering. Join expert Jack Hipple and gain knowledge of fundamentals of chemical engineering that you need to understand, communicate and work well with chemical engineers. This course is aimed at conversion of agricultural feedstocks into biofuels and biochemicals. Jack Hipple is a 30 year veteran of the chemical industry and is currently Principal with Innovation-TRIZ, providing consulting and innovation training. Registration is required at http://subi.eventbrite.com. Any employees, students and related parties of the LSU AgCenter, Louisiana State University A&M, USDA Research Centers and affiliates of the USDA NIFA funded Sustainable Bioproducts Initiative are welcome to attend. The course will be offered live on the campus of Louisiana State University and will be live-streamed to the Terrebonne Parish Office in Houma, LA, the Calcasieu Parish Office in Lake Charles, LA and the Red River Research Station in Bossier City, La. Specific sites are subject to cancellation due to lack of registrants.
