Caldwell 4-H Attends 2018 4-H Day at Capitol

Each year 4-H members from all 64 parishes participate in 4-H Day at the Capitol held in Baton Rouge. This event is a great way to show our legislators the impact 4-H has on Louisiana. 4-H Day at the Capitol began with a general assembly attended by over 1,100 Louisiana 4-H members, parents and volunteers. 4-H state officers and LSU AgCenter administrators spoke to the group during the assembly. Caldwell 4-H was represented by 16 members, agents Jana Bennett and Jim McCann and five adult volunteers. After visiting with legislators, Caldwell 4-H members traveled to the LSU campus for lunch in the Student Union, visited Mike the Tiger, participated in a scavenger hunt with the LSU College of Agriculture and ate ice cream from the LSU Dairy Store.
