EatSmart Recipes - Oatmeal

INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

1 cup rolled oats or quick cooking 
3 1/2 cups water
1/4 tsp salt

For variety add one of the below:
1. 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 cup raisins.
2. 1 apple, cored, peeled and sliced and 1/4 cup chopped pecans.
3. 1/2 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries.
4. 1 peach peeled, seeded and chopped, and 2 tbps chopped almonds.

1. Add all ingredients to a 2 quart saucepan.
2. Bring to boil.
3. Cook until thick and creamy, about 10 minutes, stirring to prevent burning.
4. Serves 4.
