INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

8 slices whole wheat bread

1 cup pizza sauce

10 ounces part-skim, low moisture mozzarella cheese

1. Toast each slice of whole wheat bread.

2. Place toasted bread on a cookie sheet and spread each piece with 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce.

3. Top each slice with 1 1/4 oz. sliced cheese.

4. Turn broiler on in oven and place cookie sheet in oven. Allow pizzas to cook until cheese begins to brown (2-4 minutes).

Note: Leftover cooked ground beef, chicken or turkey (cut in small pieces) can be placed on top of the cheese before cooking.

Makes 4 servings

Per serving:  387 calories,  total fat 16.5g,  % calories from fat 25%,  dietary fiber 5g
