America's Wetland Conservation Corps

AWCC logo

The America's WETLAND Conservation Corps (AWCC) is made up of 21 AmeriCorps members working throughout Louisiana to promote wetland conservation and environmental awareness through volunteerism and outreach education.

The AWCC develops restoration projects designed to engage communities in wetland conservation activities. AWCC members coordinate hands-on restoration projects including vegetative planting, restorative interventions and community-wide cleanups for volunteers.

Please take a moment to explore our website. Learn about how to volunteer for upcoming AWCC events through the Calendar of Events link, find an AWCC member serving near you or look at pictures of past programs. If you are interested in teaming up with the AWCC, feel free to contact an AWCC member serving in your area or contact the program manager, Hilary Collis, at any time: hcollis@agcenter.lsu.edu.

For more information about how to apply to become an AWCC AmeriCorps member, click HERE.

The America’s WETLAND Conservation Corps is a partnership between the LSU AgCenter and the America’s WETLAND Campaign. The AWCC is supported by a grant from AmeriCorps and is administered by the Louisiana Serve Commission in the Office of Lt. Governor Mitchell J. Landrieu.
