If I remove the spent flower buds of crape myrtles, will they re-bloom?

Crape myrtles will re-bloom if you remove the spent flowers.
Yes, you can remove these and can get up to three blooms during the summer months. Be careful not to remove too much of the branch. Now is also a good time to remove any sucker growth from the base of the plants.
