Nydia Cooper really enjoyed showcasing her talents and the crowd cheered her on.

The St. James Parish 4-H Program will hold it's Third Annual 4-H Idol Contest in conjunction with the 4-H Food Fest at Vacherie Elementary on November 22, 2011. Since this is our third year combining this contest with the Food Fest, we can see and hear how much the 4-H'ers really enjoy it. They show their talents to all 4-H members from other 4-H Clubs in the parish. Contestants also test their skills and talents to try out for the "4-H Has Talent" contest at 4-H University, which is held every summer in June.

This is your chance to showcase your singing, dancing and musical talents. Please sign up before November 18, 2011, in the 4-H Office.

All performances must adhere to the following rules:

1. No profanity.
2. No mentioning of drugs, alcohol or body parts.
3. No graphic dancing.
