Calcasieu-Cameron 4-H Horse Club

Horse Camp activity
The Calcasieu-Cameron 4-H Horse Club is a project club for 4-H members from Calcasieu and Cameron parishes who would like to learn more about horses. You do not have to own a horse to become a member.  The horse club meetings are held monthly for interested 4-H'ers.  The meetings include guest speakers from the horse industry, educational workshops, field trips to equine events and many more fun activities throughout the year.

The meetings will  take place primarily at the Burton Coliseum new horse arena in Lake Charles, La. There will be guest speakers at the begining of each meeting then 4-H'ers will learn riding skills. The leaders for the horse club are Brenda Shope from Calcasieu Parish and Stacy Verret form Cameron Parish.

To join the club, 4-H'ers must fill out a membership form with either Calcasieu or Cameron 4-H -- depending on the parish in which you are enrolled as a 4-H member.  A copy of the membership form is available through the link below.

All meetings are on Mondays and start at 6:00 p.m. unless stated differently, and held at the Burton Coliseum.  You are encouraged to bring your horse to ride at each meeting if you have one.
